The Health and Social Policy Programme of the OECD Korea Policy Centre, in collaboration with the Asian Development Bank (ADB), hosted the OECD-ADB Meeting on Healthy Ageing and Long-term Care from 23 to 24 September 2025 at the Courtyard Seoul Botanic Park in Seoul.
The meeting was organised under the theme of “Healthy Ageing and Long-term Care” to share policy developments across the Asia-Pacific region and to discuss key challenges.

A total of 46 participants attended the meeting, including government representatives from six Asia-Pacific countries, as well as experts from international organisations such as the OECD, WHO, and the World Bank, and academia and relevant institutions in Korea (with an additional three participants joining online).
Country presentations from Japan, Thailand, Indonesia, Mongolia, Viet Nam, Sri Lanka, and Uzbekistan, followed by panel discussions, provided an opportunity to review the current status of long-term care policies and engage in in-depth discussions on shared policy issues, including ensuring financial sustainability and building integrated care systems.
