The Korea Tax Centre (KTC) hosted the 2024 Knowledge Exchange Training Programme (KETP) for the Directorate General of Taxes of the Indonesian Ministry of Finance in Bali, Indonesia, from August 12 to 15, 2024.

The program centered on the practical implementation of the GloBE Rules, addressing contemporary issues and exploring effective methods for their application within the Indonesian Tax Authority.

The four-day workshop consistently focused on the agenda of "The Implementation of GloBE Rules."

The workshop commenced with an overview of the GloBE Rules and their recent developments, followed by discussions on the economic impact assessment of these rules and various methods for adopting tax incentives.

Experts provided comprehensive insights into the fundamental concepts of the GloBE Rules and related accounting aspects.

Additionally, the technical aspects of implementing the GloBE Rules were examined and actively discussed by colleagues from the Directorate General of Taxes (DGT).

The program was attended by 35 tax officials from the Directorate General of Taxes of the Indonesian Ministry of Finance.

Five distinguished experts—Ms. Jessica de Vries (OECD), Mr. Massimo Bucci (Italy), Mr. Michael Hashemi (UK), Ms. Melinda Brown (OECD), and Ms. Soojin Lee (Korea)—delivered in-depth and informative lectures on the GloBE Rules.

Throughout the program, participants from the DGT demonstrated enthusiasm by asking insightful questions and actively engaging in discussions with the speakers.
