The Health and Social Policy Programme at the OECD Korea Policy Centre (KPC), OECD, and National Pension Research Institute (NPRI) co-hosted the 16th Pension Experts Meeting in the Asia-Pacific Region online on 2 June 2022 from 15-17pm South Korea local time (KST).

With the agenda "Changes in the Public Pension Systems post-COVID-19," the attendees shared current issues and challenges of the public pension systems in the respective countries. Also, they discussed possible measures to respond to the deteriorated pension finances and to protect the vulnerable population in particular.

The event was attended by nineteen experts from nine countries, including those from the Asia-Pacific Region (China, Malaysia, Mongolia, Pakistan, Singapore, and Vietnam) and those from the OECD countries (South Korea, Japan, and Australia).
