The Tax Programme of the OECD Korea Policy Centre (KPC) hosted Knowledge Exchange Training Programme (KETP) for tax officials from the Maldives Inland Revenue Authority on recent international tax issues such as the OECD BEPS project and the Korean E-Tax system. The training seminar was held in Malé, Maldives, from October 30th to November 1st, 2018.

During the seminar, recent issues in international taxation such as double tax avoidance agreements and transfer pricing taxation, the digital economy and transfer pricing documentation from the OECD/G20 BEPS project, domestic application of double tax avoidance agreements, and transfer pricing taxation were introduced. Moreover, presentations and discussions on Korean tax policy issues and E-Tax System (NTIS) were conducted.

The programme was attended by 63 officials from the Maldives Inland Revenue Authority, and various experts from Korea including Mr. Jaehyung Jang, Mr. Sewha Lee, and Mr. Bulchul Kim participated in the seminar.
