From June 24 to 26 the OECD/KPC Competition Programme Leader’s seminar was held in Singapore in a joint venture effort with the Competition Commission of Singapore. The objective of this Leaders Seminar was to equip competition authorities in the Asia Pacific Region with the valuable experience, know-how and tools for advancing the acceptance and understanding of what competition agencies do as well as the promotion more generally of competition policy within their respective economic culture.
The seminar was attended by 40 country representatives from China, Hong Kong, India, Indonesia, Ireland, Korea, Malaysia, Mongolia, Pakistan, Papua New Guinea, Philippines, Portugal, Singapore, Taiwan, Thailand, and Vietnam representing the OECD, GIZ, national governments, and competition commissions.
