This comparative analysis covers twelve economies, providing a reasonably good picture of different health funding and spending patterns across the Asia-Pacific region. It includes four members of the OECD (Australia, Japan, Korea and
New Zealand), two other high income economies (Hong Kong SAR and Chinese Taipei), as well as a number of relatively
low income economies, such as Bangladesh, Mongolia, Sri Lanka and Thailand with GDP per capita less than USD 3,000.
