ㅁThe workshop concerns cartels and is comprised of lectures, case studies and a

   hypothetical.  The lectures reviewed the basics of cartel enforcement and consider

   in more detail key issues from the methods for detecting cartels, investigating

   cartels and effectively sanctioning cartels.  Case study presentations showcased the

   recent work of a range of agencies in the region as well as focusing specifically on

   particular issues such as the use of leniency.  The hypothetical provided participants

   with an opportunity to put the theory into practice and discuss together the

   approaches to investigative work and the strategic assessments made in cartel

   matters.
