Improving Public Service Delivery : Experiences and Challenges

* SUMMARY

This book presents country reports on "Improving Public Service Delivery" from 17 Asian-Pacifc countries. It shows their efforts to enhance their public services in various ways. Better service in the public sector can be achieved through government transformation (government re-oreganisation and business re-engineering process), the use of ICT and public engagement in a way of increasing transparency, efficiency and accountability. Each country report examines policy implementation, strategies and good practices, along with challenges and lessons in the fields.
