The OECD KPC Public Governance Programme hosted the ‘ASEAN Conference: Towards a Citizen-Centric Civil Service / Government at a Glance Southeast Asia 2019 publication launch / Open & Connected Governance event’ to discuss future directions for citizen-centric administration and measures to realize open government through strategic personnel management.
This event was co-hosted by the OECD KPC Public Governance Programme, OECD Directorate for Public Governance, and Office of Public Sector Development Commission (OPDC) of Thailand and lasted for 2 days from April 2 to 3, 2019.
At the conference, total 42 experts and public officials from Korea, OECD, ASEAN, and Europe participated to discuss public sector innovation and strategic personnel management that are needed for citizen-centric government. The participants also discussed peer reviews on Thailand’s measures to promote open and digital government and ways to enhance their effectiveness. Around 150 people from the Thailand government and other institutes attended the conference and the event was live-streamed through OPDC facebook.
