Privacy Policy

'The OECD Korea Policy Centre'('the Centre') regards the security of users' personal information to be an important matter, and abides by the "Act on Promotion of Information and Communication Network Utilization and Data Protection". The Centre will inform users  how and in what manner the provided personal information is used in compliance with its privacy policy, and what actions are being taken by the Centre for the protection of personal information. In the case that the Centre revises its privacy policy, any revisions will be posted on our website (or individual notification).

  • Purpose of the Collection and Use of Personal Information

    The Centre uses the collected personal information for the following purpose.

  • Period of Possession and Use of Personal Information

    The Centre will be entitled to possess and use the users' personal information only during the period from signing up for a subscription to newsletters till requesting for cancellation of subscription.
  • Procedures and Methods of Destroying Personal Information

    The Centre, in principle, will destroy the relevant information without delay after it has achieved the purpose of the collection and use of personal information. Destroying procedures and methods are as follows:
    Procedures of Destroying
    The information that users have entered for a subscription to newsletters will be moved to a separate DB (a separate filing cabinet in case of paperwork) after achieving its purpose and will be destroyed when a user asks for cancellation of subscription according to internal policies and other relevant regulations. Personal information stored in a separate DB will not be used for other purposes.
    Methods of Destroying
    Personal information stored in electronic files will be deleted using technical methods that make personal information irreproducible as a record.
